Abstract

India’s journey over the last 75 years has been marked by significant achievements in economic growth, social transformation, and technological advancement. Through a series of policy reforms and welfare initiatives, the country has strengthened its development trajectory while moving towards the vision of a self-reliant and inclusive nation. Key milestones such as the Green Revolution, economic liberalization, financial inclusion, digital banking, educational reforms, social security schemes, and infrastructure development have contributed to improving the quality of life of citizens. The rapid expansion of digital technologies, start-up ecosystems, and public welfare programmes has accelerated economic opportunities and social empowerment across diverse sections of society. While urban development and smart city initiatives continue to advance, balanced growth in rural areas remains essential for achieving sustainable development.
