As Contribuições Teóricas de Saverio Muratori para Pensar O (Re)Inventário do Histórico Bairro da Bela Vista, São Paulo

Resumo:

O presente artigo trata de estudos relacionados a pesquisa em desenvolvimento sobre o atual estado de conservação das edificações e conjuntos históricos do bairro da Bela Vista (Bexiga), que, a despeito de suas alterações formais, mantém tipologias arquitetônicas com características particulares de inserção na malha urbana associadas ao desenvolvimento da cidade de São Paulo. Seu reconhecimento como inequívoco patrimônio histórico paulistano ocorreu em 2002, quando o bairro foi objeto de tombamento integral; uma decorrência direta do “Inventário Geral do Patrimônio Ambiental, Cultural e Urbano da Cidade de São Paulo” (o IGEPAC) que realizou reconhecimento sistemático dos bairros antigos da área central da cidade visando à sua proteção futura. Contudo, a despeito do meritório acautelamento legal, muitas transformações descaracterizantes vêm sendo verificadas nas duas últimas décadas, e têm suscitado discussões acerca da necessidade da revisão do tombamento incidente. Mas em quais parâmetros valorativos essa revisão se apoiaria? Saverio Muratori (1910-1973), autor sobre o qual no Brasil conta-se ainda com pouca bibliografia disponível, oferece metodologia de caráter historicista que se adequa à leitura concomitante da tipologia arquitetônica com o desenvolvimento do traçado urbano do Bexiga. Possibilita avalição objetiva do tecido histórico de bairros com particular estratigrafia temporal e cultural, vista por muitos como simples “processo de descaracterização do patrimônio”. O Bexiga é história viva, dinâmica. A partir das premissas teóricas da escola muratoriana visa-se trazer para este evento discussões sobre as possibilidades de aperfeiçoamento dos inventários, deste e de outros bairros brasileiros de relevância memorial.

 Abstract 

This article deals with studies related to the ongoing research on the current state of conservation of the buildings and historical complexes of Bela Vista district, which, despite its formal alterations, still maintains architectural typologies with particular characteristics of insertion in the urban network related to the development of the city of São Paulo. Its recognition as an historical patrimony of São Paulo took place in 2002, when the neighborhood was object of comprehensive listing as a result of the implementation of the “General Inventory of Environmental, Cultural and Urban Heritage of the city of São Paulo” (IGEPAC). This was an unpublished documentation system for a systematic study of old districts of the central area of the city, aiming at their future conservation. Despite legal tutelage, many categories of physical transformations have been documented in the last two decades, which has sparked a debate about the need to revise the listing. But which evaluative criteria this review would rely on? Saverio Muratori (1910-1973), on whom there is still little bibliography available in Brazil, offers an historicist methodology that fits the concomitant reading of the architectural typology with the development of the urban layout of Bela Vista. This allows an objective evaluation of the historical layout of neighborhoods with a particular temporal and cultural stratigraphy, seen by many as a simple "process of de-characterization of patrimony". Bela Vista is living and dynamic history. From the theoretical premises ofthe Muratorian school, we aim at bring to this event discussions on the possibilities of improving the inventories of this and other Brazilian neighborhoods of memorial relevance
