Escleroterapia Estética: Benefícios, Segurança e Avanços Tecnológicos em Perspectiva Internacional

A escleroterapia estética é atualmente um dos principais métodos minimamente invasivos para o tratamento de telangiectasias e veias reticulares dos membros inferiores, com impacto direto na qualidade de vida e na percepção de imagem corporal. Revisões sistemáticas, diretrizes europeias e documentos de consenso internacionais demonstram que, quando realizada com técnica adequada e seleção criteriosa do esclerosante, a escleroterapia apresenta altas taxas de satisfação estética e bons índices de oclusão venosa, com perfil de segurança favorável em comparação a outras modalidades, como cirurgias convencionais ou laser isolado. Nos últimos anos, avanços tecnológicos como a escleroterapia com espuma guiada por ultrassom, o uso de laser transdérmico associado a agentes esclerosantes, a técnica CLaCS (cryo-laser e cryo-sclerotherapy) e o emprego de dispositivos de realidade aumentada têm refinado a precisão do tratamento, reduzido o volume de fármaco e aprimorado o controle de efeitos adversos. Esta revisão narrativa, baseada em evidências internacionais, discute benefícios, recomendações de segurança e inovações em escleroterapia estética, destacando a necessidade de padronização de protocolos e de estudos clínicos com desfechos voltados à estética e à qualidade de vida das pacientes.
Abstract (English)
Aesthetic sclerotherapy is currently one of the leading minimally invasive methods for the treatment of telangiectasias and reticular veins of the lower limbs, with a direct impact on quality of life and body image perception. Systematic reviews, European guidelines, and international consensus documents demonstrate that, when performed using appropriate techniques and careful selection of the sclerosant agent, sclerotherapy achieves high rates of aesthetic satisfaction and favorable venous occlusion outcomes, with a safety profile that compares favorably to other treatment modalities, such as conventional surgery or stand-alone laser therapy. In recent years, technological advances such as ultrasound-guided foam sclerotherapy, the combined use of transdermal laser and sclerosant agents, the CLaCS (cryo-laser and cryo-sclerotherapy) technique, and the application of augmented reality devices have enhanced treatment precision, reduced the volume of medication required, and improved the management of adverse effects. This narrative review, based on international evidence, discusses the benefits, safety recommendations, and innovations in aesthetic sclerotherapy, highlighting the need for standardized protocols and clinical studies focused on aesthetic outcomes and patients’ quality of life.

La escleroterapia estética es actualmente uno de los principales métodos mínimamente invasivos para el tratamiento de telangiectasias y venas reticulares de los miembros inferiores, con un impacto directo en la calidad de vida y en la percepción de la imagen corporal. Las revisiones sistemáticas, las directrices europeas y los documentos de consenso internacionales demuestran que, cuando se realiza con una técnica adecuada y una selección cuidadosa del agente esclerosante, la escleroterapia presenta altas tasas de satisfacción estética y buenos índices de oclusión venosa, con un perfil de seguridad favorable en comparación con otras modalidades terapéuticas, como la cirugía convencional o el láser utilizado de forma aislada. En los últimos años, avances tecnológicos como la escleroterapia con espuma guiada por ultrasonido, el uso combinado de láser transdérmico y agentes esclerosantes, la técnica CLaCS (cryo-laser y cryo-sclerotherapy) y la utilización de dispositivos de realidad aumentada han mejorado la precisión del tratamiento, reducido el volumen de fármaco utilizado y optimizado el control de los efectos adversos. Esta revisión narrativa, basada en evidencia internacional, analiza los beneficios, las recomendaciones de seguridad y las innovaciones en escleroterapia estética, destacando la necesidad de estandarizar protocolos y desarrollar estudios clínicos centrados en resultados estéticos y en la calidad de vida de las pacientes.
