FID Chemie - Specialised Information Service Chemistry

As part of the DFG-funded Specialised Information Service Chemistry (FID Chemie), launched in early 2026, this presentation presents plans for networking with the specialist community. The FID sees itself in a coordinating role between existing structures, which include both subject-related NFDI consortia and other FIDs, as well as specialist groups and societies such as the German Chemical Society (GDCh) and research institutions. A web portal is intended to provide centralised access to information for researchers and to advance Open Science through the development of needs-based services. A close alignment to NFDI4Chem ist planned, as a first collaboration, a joint survey on open source structure editors was presented.
