Description

Abstract: As of today, almost 90% of goods transported internationally do it by sea, which is the mainstay of the maritime industry. The chapter explores the evolution of India's role in global value chains in the context of its maritime infrastructure, port management, policy framework, and technological evolution. The study adopts a mixed-method research approach, with primary survey data and secondary data sources to assess the effectiveness of the port, logistics costs, government interventions, and stakeholder perceptions.
