This record is superseded/withdrawn. A subsequent structural audit revealed that the C136 input framework used in the calculations is not a valid three-coordinated sp2 D-type carbon schwarzite network.

The reported local-normal PDOS / sigma-enhancement interpretation may therefore reflect electronic features of a defective carbon framework with undercoordinated/dangling-bond states rather than intrinsic curvature-induced orbital balance in the intended schwarzite structure.
