THE BENEFITS OF LEARNING ENGLISH IN EARLY CHILDHOOD
Authors/Creators
Description
This article analyzes the benefits of learning English at ages 1–3. The study reviews scientific literature and research related to early foreign language acquisition and early childhood education. The findings indicate that early exposure to English helps develop children’s pronunciation, listening comprehension, and vocabulary. In addition, early bilingual education positively influences children’s cognitive abilities such as memory, attention control, and problem-solving skills. Researchers emphasize that interactive teaching methods, including songs, games, storytelling, and visual activities, are highly effective for young learners. Furthermore, early English learning contributes to the development of children’s communicative competence and cultural awareness. Therefore, introducing English language activities in preschool education can create a strong foundation for children’s future academic success and language development.
