This working paper presents Albania as a cultural landscape shaped by terrain, memory, heritage, local narratives, routes and contemporary travel practices. It develops an interpretive model for reading Albania through cultural regions, material and intangible heritage, route systems, sacred places, archaeological landscapes, socialist memory, ecological corridors and local stories.
