উপন্যাস নির্ভর বাংলাদেশের চলচ্চিত্রে নারী জীবন

Description

Abstract : In Bangladeshi cinema, several commercially and critically successful films have been adapted from classic Bengali novels, such as *Padma Nadir Majhi* (The Boatman of the River Padma), *Lalsalu* (A Tree Without Roots), and *Nadi O Nari* (The River and the Women). In these cinematic adaptations, the portrayal of female characters departs significantly from their traditional literary archetypes, offering a distinct and nuanced representation of women through the visual medium. This article presents a comparative analysis of the depiction and nature of women across these chosen films and their corresponding literary texts.
