Non-European Mathematics Manuscripts: Multilingual Translation Drafts and Modern LaTeX Sources

Working corpus of modern LaTeX readers and translations for selected non-European mathematics manuscripts and historical mathematical texts. This satellite record is intentionally reader-facing: readable top-level PDFs come first, followed by compact TeX/source artifacts and current work packets. Large raw source drops, page-image working archives, superseded drafts, and broad provenance bundles are preserved on the main project landing and bulk-preservation record instead of being re-uploaded here on every update.

Status at a glance. Broad working surface: front-facing reader set: the current broad work-level release is a 78-PDF, 19,599-manifest-page package, including the 75-reader work-level surface described in its manifest and README. It adds or upgrades full al-Kashi Miftah al-Hisab, al-Tusi's Euclid recension, al-Biruni's Qanun al-Masudi vols. 1-3, Abu Kamil, al-Karaji, Seki Takakazu, and Zhu Shijie's Jade Mirror. Stated scope represented: al-Battani text stream: segments 1-100 are promoted as a trilingual Arabic/English/Chinese reference reader. Stated scope represented: al-Battani fixed-star catalogue coordinate layer: the dedicated work record 10.5281/zenodo.20539593 carries the 485-row working catalogue with coordinates, modern identifications, and Arabic/English descriptions for every row. Substantial but incomplete working surface: remaining al-Battani numerical table stream: the geography gazetteer has 269 locality entries, and a partial chronology/Canon-of-Kings working edition is included; zodiac, terms, houses, auxiliary tables, and critical apparatus collation remain active reconstruction work.

Quality warning. This is a heterogeneous multilingual working corpus, not a critical edition and not a single uniform level of source certification. Some readers are useful working translations; some files are source witnesses, OCR/locator aids, table-data reconstructions, or repair packets. Script, table, diagram, and source-completeness checks remain important, especially for Sanskrit, Arabic/Persianate, astronomical-table, and classical Chinese material.

Current update. Replaces the earlier 2026-06-03 reconstructed work-level reader package with the 2026-06-04 work-level reader release while preserving the dedicated al-Battani fixed-star catalogue link and the existing al-Battani v083 text/reference material.

Source and provenance layout. Project-generated TeX and compact current work artifacts are attached here. Full raw/provenance preservation is maintained on the main project record, concept DOI 10.5281/zenodo.20393488, so this record can be updated without repeatedly moving multi-gigabyte working archives.

Workflow provenance: public-domain or openly available source witnesses are transcribed into TeX, translated where useful, checked locally, and published with artifacts so readers can inspect and improve the work. The default licensing target for project-generated transcription and translation layers is CC0 where legally available.
