Harmonized datasets for secondary RM sources for the twin transition - Deliverable 3.1- RAWCLIC
Authors/Creators
Description
RAWCLIC (Future RAW materials demand, supply and sustainability in the face of CLImate Change) is a 48-month EU-funded research project coordinated by BRGM, with Empa as lead beneficiary for Work Package 3. The project develops knowledge on future raw material demand, supply, and environmental impacts driven by the twin transition in the EU, supporting industry and policymakers to make informed, evidence-based decisions in support of sustainable transition pathways. Further information at www.rawclic.eu.
The datasets developed as part of this Deliverable 3.1 of the EU-funded RAWCLIC project provide consolidated composition datasets for energy technologies: traction motors, heat pumps, batteries, wind turbines, photovoltaics, electrolyzers and fuel cells and digital technologies: robotics, data centers, data transmission and servers. These datasets represent a first version that will go through continuous improvement throughout the project.
The presented document gives a general overview of these datasets and of how they will be used in subsequent tasks within WP3 and in other WPs. It also provides details on what the datasets for each technology contain, how the consolidated data was generated and will discuss planned updates where relevant.
