Elements de Geometrie Algebrique (EGA): French Originals, OCR/Support, and Partial English Drafts

Public EGA support record for the Modern LaTeX Editions of Mathematics Manuscripts project. This page collects coherent French original/reference PDFs for EGA, a broad partial English working reader, a standalone EGA IV sections 1-21 working reader, and TeX/source artifacts in ZIP files.

Status at a glance. This is a lower-confidence OCR/support and partial-translation lane, not a source-audited English working edition comparable to the current SGA workpass lane. The record is useful for preservation, reference, continuation, and repair, but it should not be read as complete EGA translation work.

• French originals from NUMDAM: complete reference set for the eight EGA PMIHES volumes attached.
• Broad English translation reader: partial working draft; EGA I and EGA II are present from the community translation base, with additional EGA 0_IV and EGA IV material added locally.
• Standalone EGA IV reader: sections 1 through 21 are represented in a 514-page standalone working draft.
• EGA 0_IV local continuation: sections 15 through 23 are represented as substantive working translations.
• Whole EGA completion against the long-term goal: incomplete.
• Proofreading/final edition status: working draft for checking and continuation, not a certified critical edition.

Provenance. The French source/reference PDFs are from NUMDAM PMIHES. The English TeX tree is based on the public ryankeleti/ega community translation project, with local continuation work added for EGA 0_IV and EGA IV from the French source PDFs.
