Description

This dataset contains the measurement table (XLS) and the R analysis scripts (DOC) used in the study Temperature‑dependent phytolith production in Norway spruce. The data originate from Picea abies needle samples collected across three Carpathian mountain ranges (Retezat, Făgăraș, and Rodna), representing distinct elevational and climatic conditions.
The XLS file includes geographic coordinates, raw phytolith counts, temperature measurements, elevation, slope exposure, and slope angle variables.
The R scripts provide a fully reproducible workflow for data cleaning, transformation, and statistical analysis, including all steps used in the published study.
