Type host. Goodfellowia miranda Hartert, 1903 —Apo myna. Type locality. Davao Province, Mindanao, Philippines.

Descriptions

Both sexes. Preantennal area relatively short and broad, with lateral margins deeply concave, forming distinct angles at coni (Fig. 5). Dorsal anterior plate with short overlap with main roof of head posteriorly. Head chaetotaxy as in Fig. 5. Thoracic and abdominal segments as in Figs 1–2; tergopleurites with small less sclerotised areas medianly.

Male. Thoracic and abdominal chaetotaxy as in Fig. 1. Abdominal chaetotaxy: tergopleurites II–III with 3–4 tergocentral macrosetae (ss+tps) on each side; tergopleurites IV–VII with 3–5 tergocentral macrosetae (ss+tps), psps and aps on each side; tergopleurite VIII with 4–5 tergocentral macrosetae (ss+tps) on each side; each of sternites II–VI with at most 2 sts on each side. Basal apodeme slender, with central rod-like structure proximally (Figs 13– 14). Proximal mesosome widening proximally; distal mesosome with rounded lateral margins. Distal thickenings of dorsal mesosome medianly continuous, with proximal ends recurved medianly. Ventral sclerite extended distally to reach lateral rugose nodi; lpmes marginal. Gonopore proportionally small, slender. Parameres short, with short constriction (Fig. 15). Measurements as in Table 1.

Female. Thoracic and abdominal segments as in Fig. 2. Abdominal chaetotaxy: tergopleurite II with 4 tergocentral macrosetae (ss+tps) on each side; tergopleurite II with 5 tergocentral macrosetae (ss+tps) on each side; tergopleurites IV–V with 5 tergocentral macrosetae (ss+tps), psps on each side; tergopleurites VI–VII with 7 tergocentral macrosetae (ss+tps), psps on each side; each of sternites II–VI with at most 2 sts on each side. Subgenital plate narrowing abruptly near distal end, reaching vulval margin where it forms a broad partial cross-piece (Fig. 25). Vulval margin gently rounded, with 5–7 short, slender vms and 22–24 short, thorn-like vss on each side; each side of subgenital plate with 7–8 short, slender vos, with the distal 2–3 median to vss. Measurements as in Table 1.
