This study presents a comprehensive interdisciplinary analysis of the chemical composition of contemporary pigments used in permanent makeup and of their interactions with human biological structures. Particular attention is given to the distinctions between organic and inorganic colorants and to their physicochemical parameters, including particle size, resistance to light exposure, and capacity for migration within tissues. Substantial emphasis is placed on the mechanisms of pigment biocompatibility, the role of cutaneous macrophages in sequestering particles, and the pathways of systemic distribution through the lymphatic system. Toxicological dimensions are examined with regard to the presence of heavy metals, as well as to the degradation of azo dyes with the formation of aromatic amines. Within the assessment of regulatory and legal governance, the requirements of EU REACH and FDA MoCRA are considered, along with the influence of professional standards on the quality and safety of procedures, illustrated through the educational model of K.Cox (Katerina Cox). The study demonstrates the necessity of integrating knowledge from color science, materials chemistry, and dermatology to ensure the safe application of permanent makeup under conditions of rapid growth in the cosmetic services market.
