Decision-OS V10: Recalculating Goal-Length Without Breaking the Carrier of Aspiration
Authors/Creators
Description
Decision-OS V10 introduces Survival-Bounded Planning as a framework for recalculating Goal-Length when fixed-goal optimization begins to consume the Carrier of Aspire.
V10 will not spread because it is first understood as theory. It will spread when people feel the difference between AI that optimizes a goal and AI that protects the Carrier of Aspire.
The paper argues that planning is not the preservation of a fixed goal form, but the repeated recalculation of a survivable trajectory toward Aspire. It separates Dream, Goal, Aspire, Goal-Length, Carrier, Recovery Debt, Returnability, Branching, and Rescale, and operationalizes the framework through a GO / HOLD / RESCALE gate.
A recoverable deviation requires correction. A non-recoverable deviation requires rescale. Protective Rescale lightens, lengthens, narrows, or reduces the current Goal-Length when Returnability declines, Recovery Debt becomes unpaid, Branching narrows, or the Carrier is threatened. Accelerative Rescale is permitted only when increased load has already been absorbed by the Carrier across an observation window.
This paper also addresses AI-assisted planning. AI can generate motivation, roadmaps, alternatives, encouragement, and future images faster than the human Carrier can absorb them. V10 asks whether AI-generated motivation increases usable trajectory energy without increasing unpaid Recovery Debt.
Practical Use Note:
Decision-OS V10 can be used as a reflective planning aid for long-horizon dreams, projects, and AI-assisted goal planning. A practical V10 Dream Roadmap prompt template is provided in the GitHub repository. The template helps users distinguish Dream, Aspire, Goal-Length, Carrier capacity, Recovery Debt, Returnability, Branching, and GO / HOLD / RESCALE outputs.
Disclaimer:
This framework is not financial, medical, legal, psychological, career, or professional advice. It does not decide whether a person should pursue or abandon a dream. It is intended to help users reflect on Aspire, Goal-Length, Carrier capacity, Recovery Debt, Returnability, Branching, and possible Rescale options. Final responsibility remains with the user.
Final principle:
Before abandoning a dream, recalculate its Goal-Length.
