Mask R-CNN-Based Mound Detection and Morphometric Dataset of Isidis Planitia on Mars

This dataset contains training data, detection results, polygon datasets, images, and supporting files used for mapping mound landforms in Isidis Planitia on Mars. The mounds were detected using a Mask R-CNN model trained on Context Camera (CTX) image data. The study region covers part of Isidis Planitia, approximately 76°E–100°E and 4°N–24°N.

The dataset accompanies the study: “Deep Learning-Based Detection and Spatial Analysis of Mound Landforms on Mars: A Case Study of Isidis Planitia.”

The full CTX mosaics used for deployment are not included in this archive because of their large size. Original CTX mosaic data can be downloaded from the Murray Lab global CTX mosaic archive: https://murray-lab.caltech.edu/CTX/
