Description
This dataset provides outputs of the PhenoPhaseR processing pipeline (https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.18743008) for winter wheat (Triticum aestivum L., DWD Plant ID 202), covering observed phenological phases (sowing to harvest) for the entire territory of Germany for the period 1993–2024. PhenoPhaseR is an open-source R workflow that couples the PHASE model - a growing-degree-day (GDD) approach with adaptive outlier filtering - to derive spatially consistent, quality-controlled point observations of phenological phase-start dates from the DWD volunteer observer network. The dataset component provided here corresponds to processing Step 7 (spatial interpolation) of the seven-step pipeline.
Notes
What's new in v1.4.0
Delivery-layer and metadata refresh. No changes to raster pixel values, model fits, or cross-validation statistics — byte-identical to the previous version.
Changed:
- Flat file layout instead of an outer ZIP — each multi-band COG is now an individually-addressable file at a stable Zenodo URL, streamable via GDAL
/vsicurl/without downloading the full deposit. - AGROVOC subject terms added to
ro-crate-metadata.json(schema:about/dct:subject) with SKOS cross-links to Wikidata. - Three named contributors with explicit DataCite roles (Producer, Data Manager × 2), replacing the previous single-author attribution.
- JKI affiliation unified to the canonical ROR-anchored form.
