usenixsec26_rewbdos

This is the experiment code bases and data for USENIX Security 2026 paper: "Regular Expression Denial of Service Induced by Backreferences".

There are 3 files:

•  usenixsec26_rebasil.zip: The REwB superlinear runtime detector. (Used to be named as "SLMAD".)
• usenixsec26_atkre.zip: A regex runtime measurement tool with drivers for multiple regex engines.
• usenixsec26_snort2_regex.zip: Input and sample output datasets of the two previous softwares. The initial input regexes are extracted from Snort 2 registered rule set.
