Citizens4Water: global inventory of citizen science projects on fresh water

This dataset, with over 300 projects, was created as part of the project Citizens4Water, creating a global inventory of citizen science projects on water management and hydrology.

We worked together with students who created this inventory based on two approaches:

1. consulting existing inventories on citizen science and/or fresh water
2. browsing the internet looking for projects worldwide that are related to fresh water research and use a citizen science approach.

All projects in this inventory have been invited to become part of the global Citizens4Water network and share their project on www.citizens4water.org.

Citizens4Water is a project by Scivil, in collaboration with UNESCO IHP and with support of the government of Flanders, Belgium.
