The Canlas Scenario: A Mechanical Limit Hypothesis for Universal Expansion
Authors/Creators
Description
This working paper introduces the Canlas Scenario, a novel cosmological paradigm modifying the traditional framework of universal expansion. We hypothesize that cosmic expansion is governed by an elastic, mechanical limitation of space-time metrics rather than an infinite, open-ended thermodynamic dissolution. By evaluating cosmic dynamics through an ordered progression of four deterministic stages—Localized Sovereignty, Cumulative Magnetic Linkage, Spatial Fabric Deformation, and Threshold Attainment—this model establishes a mechanical boundary where expansionary metrics reach maximum displacement before initiating a stabilizing counter-phase. To ground this macroscopic boundary in quantum field theory and current cosmological observations, we integrate an ultralight axion field ($m_\phi \sim 10^{-33} \text{ eV}$) as the fundamental physical driver. As cosmic expansion scales toward the Serano Limit, a boundary-conforming modification to the Friedmann acceleration equation introduces a localized material restraint. Concurrently, the evolution of the axion potential triggers a transition from accelerating expansion to a pressureless, oscillating braking phase. This integrated framework directly aligns with recent 2026 observational data reporting unexpected evolutionary variability and potential degradation of the cosmological constant, offering a bounded, macro-mechanical alternative to standard Lambda-CDM cosmology.
