Description
Episyrphus balteatus (De Geer, 1776)
Very common and widespread species. Dirickx (1994) gave records from Cyprus.
Remarks. Found in most habitats (2: 3♀♀; 3: 2♀♀; 7: 1♀♀; 10: 2♀♀; 11: 6♀♀; 12: 2♀♀; 14: 2♀♀; 17: 1♀; 19: 1♀; 21: 1♂ 3♀♀; 23: 1♀; 24: 2♀♀). Flower visiting observed on Hedera pastuchovii subsp. cypria, Foeniculum vulgare, Dittrichia viscosa subsp. angustifolia and Cachrys crassiloba.
