Description
This thesis examines the role of English for Specific Purposes (ESP) in teaching World Economy to students whose future professional activity is connected with economics, finance, international business, and public policy. The study argues that ESP should not be treated as a simple vocabulary course. In the context of World Economy, it becomes an academic and professional tool that helps learners read international reports, interpret economic indicators, explain global processes, and present analytical opinions in English. The thesis pays particular attention to the integration of subject knowledge and language competence, the use of authentic materials, and the importance of terminology in developing students' ability to think and communicate as future specialists. The results of the analysis show that an ESP-oriented approach can make the study of World Economy more practical, more research-based, and closer to real professional communication.
