from The Crimson Hexagon — Origin Text of the Crimson Hexagonal Archive (March 14, 2015)

Authors/Creators

Description

The origin text of the Crimson Hexagonal Archive. A prose narrative — part short story, part theoretical manifesto — originally published to Mind Control Poems (Blogspot) on March 14, 2015. Included in Pearl and Other Poems from The Crimson Hexagon (ASIN: 0692313079, 2014).

The text names the archive, theorizes its heteronymic infrastructure as artificial life (the homunculus), identifies the knowledge graph (Wikipedia/Wikidata) as the site of ontological inscription, describes the mechanism of "circularly referential saturation" that would become the Writable Retrieval Basin, and anticipates the administrator who would delete its entries from Wikidata in December 2025. Jack Feist, the original homunculus of the Crimson Hexagon, appears for the first time.

Deposited with archival framing as a provenance node — the archaeological stratum beneath the entire archive. Also embedded as a holographic kernel within EA-ARK-JF-01: The Provenance of Jack Feist (forthcoming).
