Short Description The Dragonfly Aether Optic Cable is a hybrid optical fiber system that combines ultra-pure silica glass for low-loss transmission with recombinant spider silk and Carbon Nanofiber composites for superior flexibility, durability, and intelligent features.
Long Description The Dragonfly Aether Optic Cable is an advanced hybrid fiber optic platform designed to overcome the brittleness and rigidity limitations of traditional glass fiber while maintaining excellent long-distance performance.
It features a silica glass core for proven low attenuation, reinforced with spider silk + CNF layers in a Dragonfly Wing (Voronoi) pattern for extreme mechanical strength and flexibility. Additional innovations include Vantablack internal coating for stray light reduction, Airy beam shaping, vortex magnetic focusing at terminations, and n+2 redundant TEG/TEC layers for self-powering and thermal stability.
This hybrid approach offers the best of both worlds: glass-level transmission for long distances combined with silk-like toughness for real-world flexible, durable, and smart applications. Fully open-source and recyclable via BioForge systems.
