Description
This paper proposes a formal model of ontological stratification based on dimensional projection. The core claim is that levels of reality form a lattice in the complex plane, indexed by spatial dimension \(s \in \mathbb{Z}\) and temporal dimension \(t \in \mathbb{Z}\). Dimension number is an index, not inherently a measure of physical properties. Within the observable range, higher dimension number correlates with greater condensation: smaller physical scale, tighter constraints, denser information. Since the information content of an entity is invariant under projection, the same information compressed into more dimensions necessarily occupies smaller physical extent. A projection operator \(P\) transmits information from any world to \textit{all} lower-indexed worlds simultaneously in a single cast. The model introduces an inverted containment relation, termed \textit{housing}, in which lower-indexed worlds serve as the surfaces on which higher-indexed entities appear as shadows. Structural priority runs from the housing world to the housed world. Our experiential world is \(W_{3+3i}\) at human scale (\(\sim 10^0\) m) with three spatial and three temporal dimensions. We experience one extended temporal dimension; the other two are compactified, their effects appearing as relativity and quantum indeterminacy. Gravity and electromagnetism originate from a single unified field configuration in \(W_{4+4i}\) at atomic scale (\(\sim 10^{-10}\) m); under projection to \(W_{3+3i}\), the information loss requires multiple 3D structures to carry what was a single structure in 4D, yielding two coupled fields whose coupling is the residual signature of their 4D unity. Their projection onto us is coherent across all distances (gap of one). The strong and weak nuclear forces originate from \(W_{5+5i}\) at nuclear scale (\(\sim 10^{-15}\) m); their projection arrives sparser, observable only where matter is dense enough to gather the thinned signal (gap of two). Dark matter and dark energy are projective asymmetries: gravitational effects from source worlds whose electromagnetic components are lost under successive decompression. Entanglement is the direct projection of 5D temporal unity: two events that are one in 5D time, cast as two shadows in 3D time. Relativity is the projection of 4D time onto 3D time. Gravitational waves are ripples in the compactified temporal dimensions. The \(n \pm 2\) rule states that an observer can meaningfully observe worlds within two index steps. Extending the cascade into negative indices yields worlds beyond the observable window---formally nameable, structurally necessary, but not describable in terms of positive-index properties. The emanation cosmology of the \textit{Daodejing} is presented as an independent parallel. The paper does not advance a testable physical hypothesis. It offers a formal architecture for ontological stratification.
