Cypermethrin resistance in Alphitobius diaperinus (Coleoptera: Tenebrionidae) from Colombia: First report and preliminary bioassay data
Authors/Creators
Description
This preprint reports the first evidence of cypermethrin resistance in Alphitobius diaperinus from Colombia. A field-collected population from Caloto, Cauca, exhibited 100% knockdown at 4 h across all concentrations tested (5–25µg a.i./cm²) but showed ≤6% mortality at 72 h and complete recovery of locomotor activity. Recovery assays after 4-h exposure confirmed 100% survival. This represents a novel complete knockdown recovery phenotype. Resistance ratios could not be calculated because the susceptible reference population is under establishment; full statistical analyses are reserved for the final article. Raw data are available in a companion dataset (see Related identifiers).
