Cavalry Memorial in Hyde Park, London

Cavalry of the Empire Memorial, Hyde Park, London   By Adrian Jones, 1924, commemorating the cavalry fallen in both world wars. It was first erected at Stanhope Gate and moved to Hyde Park in 1961. St George on his horse stands over a vanquished dragon. Jones specialised in splendid equine sculpture.   This object is part of Scan The World.
