Description

This submission includes the calculated fluence and area spot of two DBL (dynammic beam laser) shapes (triangle and spriral), generated using the CIVAN technology.

With DBS a beam shape is generated by overlaying multiple diffraction patterns.
A static shape can only be generated when a single diffraction pattern is used.
When more than one pattern is involved, the resulting shape is inherently dynamic, e.g., a sequence of intensity distributions corresponding to the given patterns.
The most fundamental shape, corresponding to a single-click diffraction pattern placed at the [0, 0] of the grid matrix, comprises a central gaussian spot (approx. 136 μm diameter for 1.5 m focal length) and 4 main lobes.

The key parameters are:
(1) the number of clicks and related sequence, which determines the spatial distribution of the shape;
(2) dwell time, corresponding to the time spent on every click position
The combination of these parameters gives the shape duration,
representing the total time required to complete a full cycle of the pattern, while the inverse of this duration defines the shape frequency.
Tthe highest shape frequency for the adopted DBS laser is 80 MHz. The smallest dwell time is approximate 12 ns = 1/(80 MHz). This submission shows the animation of the diffraction patterns and the calculated fluence (J/cm^2) and area of each difraction pattern (mm^2).
For the "triangle", generated using 56 clicks, the maximum shape frequency is 1428 kHz (the inverse of 56 × 12 ns); and for the spiral shape, having 45 clicks, the maximum shape frequency is 1777 kHz (the inverse of 45 × 12 ns). The filename structure is as follows, "fluence_clicks_"F"kHz_"name".txt: "F": CBC shape frequency "name": name of the beam shape. The txt file is formatted as follows: 1 column: DBS click position in X 2 column: DBS click position in Y 3 column: area of the CBC pattern (mm^2) 4 column: fluence (J/cm^2). A Matlab code is also included to reproduce the results. The master file is: " Shape_generator_export_share.m". The main input is the click file, for example, "spiral_click_file.txt". Two examples have been uploaded: "triangle" and "spiral".
