Description

Modern enterprise collaboration platforms act as passive information conduits. Under severe operational stress, human teams frequently revert to automated, heuristic-driven cognitive modalities (System 1 Panic Mode, Kahneman). This paper introduces HI-OS (Human Innovation Operating System), an Active Cognitive Middleware API designed to operate as an external cognitive governor (Extended Cognition, 4Es Framework). Rather than post-mortem analytics, HI-OS introduces real-time Friction Design to intercept high-risk digital behaviors pre-submit, enforce a structured choice architecture (Thaler), and dynamically restore semantic and operational alignment.
