Authors/Creators
Description
Work environments play a crucial role in influencing employee productivity, creativity, health, and overall well-being. In recent years, modern office spaces have become more technologically advanced but less connected to nature, resulting in increased stress, fatigue, reduced concentration, and lower job satisfaction among employees. Biophilic interior design is an innovative design approach that integrates natural elements such as sunlight, vegetation, natural materials, ventilation, and water features into indoor environments to improve human well-being and performance.
The present study examines the impact of biophilic interior design on employee productivity and well-being in workplace environments. The research is based on primary data collected through a questionnaire survey of 50 corporate employees working in office environments. The study uses descriptive and quantitative research methods, including Likert scale analysis, percentage analysis, and graphical representation of data.
The findings of the study indicate that natural lighting, indoor plants, natural ventilation, and outdoor views significantly improve employee productivity, lessen stress, decorate creativity, and growth task satisfaction. The study also finds a strong positive correlation between biophilic design elements and employee productivity levels. The research concludes that biophilic interior design is not only an aesthetic or environmental concept but also a strategic management and human resource tool that organizations can use to improve employee performance, well-being, and organizational productivity.
