Description

Henry George Liddell (1811-1898) was a classical scholar and Dean of Christ Church, Oxford, 1855-1891, where he undertook many administrative reforms. He was the father of Alice Liddell, the inspiration for Lewis Carroll's 'Alice' books. It was sculpted out of marble by Henry Richard Hope-Pinker (1849-1927) incised and dated 1888 and is on permanent display at the National Portrait Gallery in London.   This object is part of Scan The World. Scan the World is a non-profit initiative introduced by MyMiniFactory, through which we are creating a digital archive of fully 3D printable sculptures, artworks and landmarks from across the globe for the public to access for free.
