THE ROLE OF NODIRABEGIM'S WORKS IN ORIENTAL LITERATURE, HER POETRY, AND LEXICAL ANALYSIS OF HER LANGUAGE

Description

This study investigates the discourse patterns and lexical features in the poetry of Nodirabegim within the context of classical Central Asian literature. By examining her poems, this research focuses on lexical richness, synonym usage, repetition patterns, and the overall structure of poetic texts. Using a quasi-experimental mixed-methods design, both quantitative measures (lexical frequency, type–token ratio, synonym counts) and qualitative analyses (semantic and stylistic functions of words) were applied to understand how her lexis contributes to aesthetic and rhetorical effects. The dataset included 120 poems across various collections, which were analyzed for lexical variety, the presence of repeated lexis, and semantic cohesion. Findings indicate that Nodirabegim’s poetry exhibits high lexical richness, deliberate synonym use, and stylistically coherent repetition patterns. These results underscore her unique contribution to the development of classical Uzbek and Central Asian poetic traditions and highlight the pedagogical value of studying her lexicon for L2 literature learners.
