Authors/Creators
Description
The Chornobyl disaster continues to shape the global cultural imagination as one of the most significant ecological catastrophes of the twentieth century. This lecture examines how contemporary graphic narratives portray and interpret Chornobyl, and what key messages they convey through different narrative strategies, ranging from documentary-realist, testimonial, and autobiographical modes to fairy-tale and fantastical frameworks.
The audience will be encouraged to actively participate in the discussion.
