Chromosome-level genome assembly of the Spinibarbus hollandi

Description
Spinibarbus hollandi is a commercially significant freshwater fish species in China. However, its wild populations have declined sharply due to water pollution, overexploitation, and the construction of hydraulic facilities. In this study, we present the first chromosome-level genome assembly of S. hollandi by integrating MGI, PacBio HiFi, and Hi-C sequencing technologies. The final assembly spans approximately 1.772 Gb with a contig N50 of 28.73 Mb and a scaffold N50 of 35.35 Mb. A total of 1.771 Gb (99.97%) of the sequences were successfully anchored onto 50 chromosomes, with the longest scaffold measuring 59.76 Mb. Repetitive elements account for approximately 48.97% of the genome.
