The Phenomenological Nature of Quasar-type Blazars (BZQ). I. Revisiting the Flat-Spectrum Paradigm
Authors/Creators
Description
This repository contains the supplementary material associated with our work on the spectral classification of quasar-type blazars (BZQ). The associated manuscript has been accepted for publication in the Revista Mexicana de Astronomía y Astrofísica (RMxAA) and is currently available as a preprint on arXiv: arXiv:2605.23980. It includes:
- Broadband radio spectra (TXT and FITS): Complete sets of flux-density measurements with associated uncertainties, compiled from the CATS catalog (Verkhodanov et al. 1997) and the SED Builder tool (Stratta et al. 2011).
- Atlas of radio spectra (PDF): Collection of figures showing the fitted spectra and classifications for the 610 sources in our sample.
- Table 2 (TXT): Spectral index values (α) and uncertainties derived from 1.4–10 GHz rest-frame power-law fits, along with the classification following Park et al. (2013), the revised classification proposed in this work, and the full-spectrum morphological classification (e.g., power-law, peaked, retriggered-peaked, inverted-peaked, unclassified).
These machine-readable tables and the spectral atlas provide the full dataset underlying our analysis and are intended to facilitate reproducibility and further studies on the radio spectral properties of blazars.
