Decentralized Science Infrastructure for Medical Cannabis: A Framework for Blockchain-Based Prescription Records, Verified Distribution Networks, and Open Peer-Reviewed Research
Authors/Creators
Description
Medical cannabis represents one of the fastest-growing therapeutic categories globally, yet existing distribution and research infrastructures remain centralized, opaque, and resistant to independent verification. This paper presents the Phytocure protocol — a Decentralized Science (DeSci) framework built on the Solana blockchain designed to address these systemic gaps through on-chain clinical prescription storage, a verified global distributor network, AI-assisted cannabinoid strain analysis, and an open-access peer-reviewed research repository. Using smart contract architecture, cryptographic verification, and token-incentivized peer review, Phytocure establishes a transparent, permissionless infrastructure for medical cannabis science.
