Computed daily values of McArthur Forest Fire Danger Index (FFDI) for Australia from 20CRv3
Authors/Creators
Description
These daily values of the McArthur Forest Fire Danger Index (FFDI) for Australia are calculated from bias-corrected daily 20CRv3 data on maximum temperature, rainfall, relative humidity, and wind speed at a spatial resolution of 0.05 degrees by 0.05 degrees. Further details about the dataset are listed as follows:
- Spatial Resolution: 0.05° X 0.05°
- Temporal Resolution: Daily
- Date Range: 1st January 1836 to 31st December 2015
- Source Data: 20th Century Version 3
- Ensembles used: 3, 7, 11, 13, 43
- Fill Value: -9999
- Bias Correction method used on the daily climatic variables: Quantile-Quantile (QQ) matching using Monotone Piecewise Hermite Cubic Spline
- Interpolation technique used to resample 20CRv3 variables: Biliniear
- Areas masked with fill value:
- Ocean region outside Australia
- Outlier values below the lower limit
- Outlier values above the upper limit
- Datatype: float32
