Description
The Marais Poitevin, an anthropogenically influenced wetland located in western France, constitutes a critical resource for local agricultural activities. This study aims to evaluate the irrigation suitability of groundwater originating from Quaternary deposits and the Upper Oxfordian carbonate substratum in the southern sector of the marsh. Seventeen groundwater samples were collected and subjected to comprehensive analysis. In situ measurements were conducted for key physicochemical parameters, including pH, electrical conductivity (EC), total dissolved solids (TDS), redox potential (Eh), temperature, and dissolved oxygen (O2).Major and minor ion concentrations were determined using atomic absorption spectrometry and ion chromatography.
