Challenge to Mainstream Physics: The First Dimension as Recursive Admissible Distinction
Description
This paper audits one of the deepest inherited assumptions within mainstream physics:
that dimensionality may begin as passive geometric extension.
Pattern Field Theory (PFT) rejects the inherited mainstream first-dimensional primitive entirely.
The work demonstrates that the inherited line already exposes:
- identity,
- interval,
- polarity,
- orientation,
- recursive subdivision,
- and coordinate generation.
This means the inherited first-dimensional model already contains admissible distinction structures that passive-extension ontology cannot account for at origin.
Rather than beginning from inherited dimensions, coordinates, or spacetime primitives, Pattern Field Theory begins from admissible distinction itself.
The paper develops:
- admissible distinction,
- recursive admissibility,
- coordinate identity generation,
- dimensional discipline,
- and the PFT separation of 2D relational transport from 1D depth freedom.
The work further examines implications for inherited dimensional ontology, coordinate inheritance, continuum assumptions, and spacetime primitivism within mainstream theoretical physics.
