Arkhe: A Self-Hostable Scientific Data Repository
Description
Arkhe is a self-hostable scientific data repository for research groups, university departments, and teaching environments. Existing options are either fully hosted with no self-hosting option (Zenodo) or require significant infrastructure such as Kubernetes and ~16 GB RAM (InvenioRDM). Arkhe is designed for groups that need a private repository that runs on commodity hardware, a standard laptop or modest shared server, within 2 GB RAM. It provides ORCID authentication, file uploads up to 2 GB, full-text search, and FAIR-compliant metadata, deployable with a single command.
Version 1.0.1 is a maintenance release with no functional or behavioural changes. It corrects the copyright holder in the LICENSE file and renames default identifiers.
