Description
This story is an outcome of the University of Nowhere project, which consisted of a series of three
seminars on utopia and higher education and collaborative creative writing.
The title and concept of the story come from William Morris’s utopian novel of 1890, News from
Nowhere, which describes a future English utopia. “Nowhere” does not seem to have a university,
only a vague reference to “colleges on the mainland,” which we took as an invitation to imagine one.
