Description
This work presents a smart classroom system designed to automate attendance and improve classroom monitoring using facial recognition. The model uses a webcam to capture live video, and each frame is then processed to detect and identify student faces. The extracted facial features are compared with stored data to recognize students and record their attendance along with timestamps. A dashboard interface is used to display attendance records and provide basic monitoring features for instructors. The model was tested under different conditions such as lighting changes and partial face visibility, where it showed stable performance. By reducing manual effort and improving reliability, the model offers a practical solution for modern classroom environments.
