Gauge-Coupling Parameters and Forced Uniqueness under Admissible Redescription (Constants)

Description

Overview
This paper examines whether gauge-coupling parameters can carry forced uniqueness under admissible redescription. It argues that raw numeric gauge-coupling values are chart-level quantities whose values vary under admissible reparameterization, and therefore cannot function as standing-bearing invariants.

Negative Result
Admissibility constraints do not collapse continuous gauge-coupling freedom to a unique numeric value. Standard routes to numeric uniqueness fail to generate a unique raw coupling value or import inadmissible structure, including:

  • renormalization-group fixed points
  • dimensional transmutation
  • non-perturbative structure
  • selection principles
  • typicality or measure
  • compactness
  • model-theoretic existence
  • genericity/forcing
  • totalization

Positive Result
Uniqueness reappears at the correct role level. For genuinely co-scoped admissible regimes claiming authority over the same object-class:

  • overlap is necessary
  • divergence on overlap is inadmissible
  • the admissible representative is forced to coincide up to fixed normalization

Conclusion
Gauge-coupling parameters remain skin-level coordinates. Invariant tensor content and shared-domain representatives carry admissible physical standing. Numeric coupling collapse is therefore replaced by overlap-level forced uniqueness under admissible redescription.
