HUMAN CAPITAL SUSTAINABILITY: INTEGRATING DIVERSITY, ETHICAL WORKPLACES, MENTAL HEALTH, AND EMPLOYEE WELLBEING

In the contemporary business environment, organizations increasingly recognize that sustainable growth depends not only on financial resources but also on the effective management of human capital. Human capital sustainability focuses on developing and maintaining a healthy, inclusive, and ethical work environment that promotes employee wellbeing and long-term organizational success. This study examines the integration of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI), ethical workplace practices, mental health support, and employee wellbeing as key pillars for sustainable human capital management. Organizations that promote diversity and inclusion foster innovation and creativity, while ethical workplace practices strengthen trust and organizational commitment. Additionally, mental health initiatives and wellbeing programs enhance employee productivity, engagement, and job satisfaction. The research adopts a conceptual and exploratory approach using secondary data from academic literature, reports, and organizational practices. The findings suggest that integrating these four elements creates a holistic human resource management framework that contributes to sustainable organizational performance and employee development. The study highlights the need for HR policies that prioritize inclusive leadership, psychological safety, ethical governance, and holistic wellbeing initiatives. By emphasizing the interconnection between DEI, ethical work culture, mental health, and employee wellbeing, this research contributes to the growing discourse on sustainable human capital and provides practical insights for organizations seeking longterm resilience and responsible business practices.
