Description
This dataset contains camera-trap photos and videos of the crepuscular and nocturnal behaviors of untagged Andean bears across localities in Colombia, Ecuador, and Peru. The records by Francisco J. Sánchez-Karste (Ecuador) are part of ETAPA EP's Institutional Wildlife Monitoring Program.
The description of each file can be found in Additional file 1, which accompanies the manuscript titled "Rethinking the movement ecology of Andean bears: temperature-driven cathemerality and seasonal space-use cycles" by Castellanos et al. 2026 (in review).
