ENHANCING HEALTHCARE ACCESSIBILITY WITH FAST ACCESS TO MEDICATIONS USING MERN STACK

Description

The need for required medications is a concern in modern healthcare settings, particularly due to the lack of visibility into the inventory, immobility of patients, and the inefficiencies of the traditional pharmacy business model. The current e-commerce solutions for pharmacies are not very effective in integrating the local pharmacy inventory, flexible pickup locations, and community support programs. This paper provides a detailed insight into a comprehensive platform built using the MERN stack that aims to improve the accessibility of healthcare services by facilitating rapid and secure access to medications via location-aware services and real-time inventory synchronization. The proposed system tries to seek an advantage by combining MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, and Node.js into one feature-packed, scalable, userfriendly platform for locating nearby pharmacies, booking medication, and instantly confirming orders through digital receipts or QR codes. Prescription validation mechanisms provide regulatory compliance, while the use of pickup lockers and the flexibility provided in ordering enhance convenience for the user. The way the system handles delivery, through the volunteers, is also another differentiating factor, particularly because individuals cannot physically visit pharmacies, often due to healthrelated issues. Also, the loyalty points and the rating of the pharmacies help to ensure that people are engaged with the platform. The proposed platform is able to fill the gaps in the delivery of pharmaceutical services by integrating real-time data, support, and web technology.
