Abstract

Skill-based education has emerged as a transformative approach in modern pedagogy, focusing on equipping learners with practical competencies essential for real-life application. The effectiveness of this educational paradigm largely depends on the professional skills of teachers. This research paper explores the concept of skill-based education and highlights the significance of teachers’ professional skills in its successful implementation. It discusses various competencies required by teachers in detail, challenges faced, and strategies for enhancement. The study concludes that continuous professional development is vital for teachers to align with evolving educational demands.
