The data contains qualitative research data related to father involvement in social activation services for families with children (SASRD) in the Czech Republic.
The data consists primarily of interviews with fathers, interviews with mothers and social workers. The data capture participants’ experiences with father involvement in social services, constructions of fatherhood, and perceived barriers and facilitators of engagement.
The research sample included 44 participants (11 fathers, 14 mothers, and 19 social workers and service managers). Data were collected between 2020 and 2022 in the Moravian-Silesian and South Moravian regions of the Czech Republic through in-depth interviews and focus groups.
The research was conducted within a qualitative research design based on participatory approaches, constructivist grounded theory, and situational analysis.
Data Access
The dataset contains sensitive qualitative data (interview transcripts). All data have been anonymised. Only the portion of the dataset necessary to support the published findings is intended for controlled access upon reasonable request made by e-mail to barbora.grundelova@osu.cz. Access may be granted in accordance with ethical and legal requirements, particularly with regard to the protection of participants’ privacy.
