MiriamAntonia/RotationalCooling: Rotational Cooling of CaOH⁺

Authors/Creators

Description

This repository contains the code developed as part of a Master's thesis on the rotational cooling of CaOH⁺ ions. It includes simulation tools for modeling rotational cooling dynamics, as well as analysis scripts for the analysis of experimental data obtained from optical parametric amplification (OPA) and setup characterization.

The code is organized into modules corresponding to the chapters of the thesis: 03_Simulation: Detailed simulations of single pulses and of the full cooling process and dynamics 04_OPACharacterization: Data and analysis scripts for the characterization of the OPA 05_SetupCharacterization: Data and analysis scripts for the characterization of the spectral shaping setup 06_Outlook: Simulations related to thermometry methods for assessing cooling performance Example scripts and result files are provided to reproduce key results presented in the thesis.

This release corresponds to the version of the code used for the final thesis submission and is intended to ensure reproducibility of the reported results. For detailed methodology and theoretical background, please refer to the associated master's thesis: "Rotational Cooling of CaOH⁺", Quantum Optics and Spectroscopy, University of Innsbruck.
